Meet the Judge
Jon Finger has spent over 15 years at the intersection of emerging technology and storytelling. A hands-on pioneer of at-home motion capture, 3D scanning, and virtual production, he’s pushed new production methods from the indie desktop to studio-scale pipelines.
Today, Finger helps lead Luma AI’s Dream Lab LA, where he partners with filmmakers and studios to translate frontier AI models into practical, creator-friendly workflows. His background spans collaborations with Paramount Network, The Game Awards, and Comedy Central, as well as development work for Netflix – an experience he now channels into building tools and processes that give storytellers physicalized control over AI-driven productions. Over the last three years, his focus has been on integrating AI into end-to-end filmmaking, bridging real-time capture, generative imaging, and post.
